Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Dan and I did. We went to church on Christmas Eve... I bought a cute red pregnancy dress to wear. Then headed to my grandmas for the evening. It was so nice to realx and eat good food with family. We came home, relaxed for a bit, and headed to bed. It was hard to believe that next year at Christmas we will have a 6 month old baby! grandma and grandpa got Baby Babich some things already for Christmas! Baby is already being spoiled!!
Christmas Day, we woke up and exchanged gifts, and watched A Christmas Story. Dan and I have started our own tradition of watching that movie every year, as well as going skating. Unfortuantly we didn't go skating this year because of the weather. We then went to my parents for brunch and gift opening. It started off a little rocky and emotional for me... I have been a mess lately with emotions.... but it ended up being ok. After hanging out at my parents, we went to Dan's aunt and uncle's for the afternoon for a great dinner and to see family. We had a roast beef dinner... but the highlight for me was the cheesey potatoes!
The day after Christmas, I had to go out and buy a new phone, because long story short... I somehow lost mine. Frustrating, but at least I had Christmas money to spend on it. We then made our way to Dan's mom's to open gifts since Dan's brother Chris was in Eveleth for Christmas. Suzie got us some mittens for the baby that are so cute from Greece! We weren't even pregnant then but she was planning ahead :) We also got our stroller/ car seat combo that we wanted from Suzie, Nick, and Steve! That was so fun!
Now today, I had my appt! I was pretty anxious to go, because I wanted to hear the heartbeat! It is so reassuring to hear, and know YES, there really is a baby in there! It was 146 bpm today, so it is lower! I measured on track as well... and I got to schedule our ultrasound! January 11 at 7:30am is the big day! 2 weeks from today, I can't wit to see our little one in action!
That is it for now... I will have Dan take another belly pic tonight, although not much has changed I don't think in the last week....
Here is a pic of the stroller/car seat combo we got!
