17 Weeks Today!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Dan and I did. We went to church on Christmas Eve... I bought a cute red pregnancy dress to wear. Then headed to my grandmas for the evening. It was so nice to realx and eat good food with family. We came home, relaxed for a bit, and headed to bed. It was hard to believe that next year at Christmas we will have a 6 month old baby! grandma and grandpa got Baby Babich some things already for Christmas! Baby is already being spoiled!!
Christmas Day, we woke up and exchanged gifts, and watched A Christmas Story. Dan and I have started our own tradition of watching that movie every year, as well as going skating. Unfortuantly we didn't go skating this year because of the weather. We then went to my parents for brunch and gift opening. It started off a little rocky and emotional for me... I have been a mess lately with emotions.... but it ended up being ok. After hanging out at my parents, we went to Dan's aunt and uncle's for the afternoon for a great dinner and to see family. We had a roast beef dinner... but the highlight for me was the cheesey potatoes!
The day after Christmas, I had to go out and buy a new phone, because long story short... I somehow lost mine. Frustrating, but at least I had Christmas money to spend on it. We then made our way to Dan's mom's to open gifts since Dan's brother Chris was in Eveleth for Christmas. Suzie got us some mittens for the baby that are so cute from Greece! We weren't even pregnant then but she was planning ahead :) We also got our stroller/ car seat combo that we wanted from Suzie, Nick, and Steve! That was so fun!
Now today, I had my appt! I was pretty anxious to go, because I wanted to hear the heartbeat! It is so reassuring to hear, and know YES, there really is a baby in there! It was 146 bpm today, so it is lower! I measured on track as well... and I got to schedule our ultrasound! January 11 at 7:30am is the big day! 2 weeks from today, I can't wit to see our little one in action!
That is it for now... I will have Dan take another belly pic tonight, although not much has changed I don't think in the last week....
Here is a pic of the stroller/car seat combo we got!

Pictures and AMAZING Dinner
So Dan got a bonus at work today... yay! Went right into savings to make up for a paycheck I will miss this fall. BUT, he did splurge and buy a couple of really nice cut ribeye steaks. I can't tell you the last time I had a good steak for dinner... it has been a long time. He made them on the grill, along with homemade mashed potatoes... and crescent rolls. Kels, as Yo Gabba Gabba would say... There's a Party in my Tummy! So Yummy! So Yummy!

16 weeks!
Well it is Sunday night, so I am basically 16 weeks... This weekend didn't start off too great. i didn't have the greatest day Friday, but I don't really need to get into that. Thankfully, Amy came to the rescue and let me veg at her house! I got to visit with her Scott, and Brooke! It was much needed... especially since Dan was gone, again. Saturday I went to lunch with Amy and Sara. I was extremely disapointed with my food. I always order Pad Thai, mild... and i think they served it medium since Katie ordered the same thing, but medium. If you have never had Thai.... when they put spices on their food... they don't mess around! I wasn't able to enjoy it because it was soo hot! I then went to my rents house to do Faith's hair for Mistletoe. I will post pics, I am just lazy and don't want to hook the camera up to the comp right now. I drove her and her group around, she was so cute! While they ate, Garon and I ate dinner at Joseph's. It was so nice to catch up with her, during Wild season, she gets super busy!
This week I am looking forward to only working 3 days, however, wish I had the day off. i sit here on a Sunday night, not looking forward to another work week beginning.
Pregnancy wise... I have had a lot of weird pains this weekend. For one, my back/ hips are already killing me. I have a mild case of scoliosis, and have always had back problems... so I have a feeling this will make for a rough pregnancy, being I am 4 months and already having issues. Second, I have been having weird pulling pains in areas other than my typical round ligament places. I am chalking it to stretching/ growing... and hope that is what it is from. Other than that... not much has changed. I just can't wait for that ultrasound appt.
Well, in case I don't post before hand... hope every one has a wonderful Christmas!

15 Weeks!
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds.
So we have made it to the big 15. Most of my symptoms have gone away.... which I should be happy about. However, I just don't believe all the time I am actually pregnant. I know this has been a theme throughout my posts... but it just is weird. I don't know when it will finally sink in, but I can't wait until it does. Also, lately I have been my typical self, as far as worrying. Worrying about having a healthy baby. I know every mom worries about that, but I think about it a lot lately. They offer tests for early screening, but I didn't want them because my doc said there are often a lot of false positives. That is the last thing I need... even more stress! I pray every night that the baby is healthy, and would appreciate prayers from friends and family as well.
I think I may be feeling the baby move a bit. It is hard to tell if it is just other stuff, or actually the baby. I like to think it is, but again, looking forward until I know it is for sure kicks and punches!
I got a request from Shannon to update... but I feel like A. no one is reading my posts and B. my life is boring so my posts aren't that interesting! So lets see, Dan and I finished Christmas shopping yesterday. We also made dinner that was a new recipe... was not that great, and even worse reheated today. It was called a pizza popover. We then went out driving around looking at Christmas light displays. I found a website with addresses.... and it was NOT a good one. We made it to one display that was worth the hour and a half of driving around. I figure that would happen. I told Dan that since I was 16, I have always wanted to go on a limo tour of light displays. Maybe next year....
Today was basically lay-on-the-couch-day, like every Sunday. I was on the computer a lot... Dan slept while the Vikings game was on. I never like Sunday's a whole lot... I get the Sunday night blues. One full week of work, then a 3 day week before Christmas break. I am looking forward to that.
Anyway, I guess that is all for today... maybe a pic of belly will be posted later this week.

Most Beautiful Sound
Well, on Thursday, Dan and I got to hear baby's heartbeat! What an amazing sound! It was a strong 157 bpm! Old wives tales say, 140 bpm and higher is a girl. We shall see in hopefully a month! My next appt is December 28. I will be 17 weeks!! Wow! At that appt, I get to schedule my ultrasound, and hopefully it will be the 1st or 2nd week of January!
I feel relieved having heard the baby. I want to hear it all of the time now! It is strange to think there is a baby growing and living inside of me....
Tomorrow I am having a jewelry party. It should be fun! Cleaning today, and I need to figure out what I am going to have to nibble on!
Hope everyone has a good weekend. I am hoping we get some more snow! While I have family over tomorrow, Dan and I are going to get our Christmas card pic taken with the puppers!
