13 weeks!

Well, so much for morning sickness being gone at the second trimester. I am sicker today than all my mornings of morning sickness combined! I was up all night last night, only about 2 hours of sleep, and then I began throwing up at 4. I got up and showered trying to make it into work (I was out last Wednesday as well with a cold so I really didn't want to miss today). I hate being gone, but I couldn't even make it in the shower without getting sick! I gave in, and put in for a sub. Thank goodness I did, because I am now laying on the couch feeling sick to my stomach.

With that, I finally made it public on facebook on Saturday. I was going to wait until Thursday after my doctor appt, but I decided why? I keep thinking something bad is going to happen, which is dumb, and typical of me, and I need to just relax. My stomach is obviously growing, I have all of my symptoms still... it is just scary to know that Thursday we should be able to hear the heartbeat, and I of course think what if we can't. I have a tilted uterus and I don't know how that will affect it... and my doc doesn't have an ultrasound machine so if they don't hear it, it isn't like they can just use that and make sure it is all ok. I just need to think positive, and keep praying for a healthy baby!

Dan and I made our way to Babies 'R Us yesterday. I have to say, Dan hates shopping, and he did not seem to hate it yesterday. I get worried when it comes to baby stuff, since Dan is SO clueless... but he handled it well! We found a crib and stroller we really like... so we hope to ask for them for Christmas :) Dan even wanted to look at the clothes... despite us not knowing yet what we are having. Hopefully on thursday at our appt, we will be able to make our ultrasound appt!!

Thanksgiving was nice. We were up in Eveleth which was s first for me, so of course I miss my family, but it was nice to see Dan's side as well. We got the Christmas tree up on Saturday, and I just can't believe that next year we will have an almost 6 month old baby! I was thinking that putting up the tree wont be as easy! I will have to work on it while baby is sleeping, or when Dan is able to watch baby! Well... I promise, belly pic tonight. It is getting bigger!! Hopefully I feell better by later this afternoon :(

11 Weeks and 3 Days!

Well, I got sick this morning.... I thought I was in the clear. I hadn't been sick in a while, and bam. I think it was taking my meds right before bed. I hadn't taken them in a while, and did it right before bed... I think that was the problem. This was the worst I had felt too! I still was feeling sick at the end of the school day. Hopefully it was just today and tomorrow it will be better.

I want to get another pic of here. The last one I did on my own. With Dan at night class, it has been hard to get him to take a pic! Not much new though here... just wanted to put a little update.

This week: Baby Babich is 1.5 in long, the size of a fig! Almost fully formed. Baby is already kicking and stretching, teeth buds are showing, and bones are beginning to harden.

10 weeks, 3 days!

Well my internet is being difficult... this is my 3rd time trying to get this typed!

Here is a pic with Maia and Kolby in the picture.... tummy is definitly bigger! Unfortunatly, I just feel/ look like I am getting fat.... not a cute pregnant belly yet!

I have been super tired and hungry all the time! My nausea is not as bad.... but comes and goes. I have been getting up 3x a night to go to the bathroom, and that is getting old. Other than that, I am feeling pretty good!

My students found out about Baby Babich! They were pretty good about it.... a few of them said they thought I might be because I had been looking bigger. Thanks kiddos! At least now they know it isn't because I am letting myself go, but because there is a baby growing!

December 3rd should be the big day when we hear the heartbeat! I cannot wait! I think I will finally go public on facebook once that day comes. I just find it hard to let it out to the world on there for some reason.

I am SO looking forward to Thanksgiving. It will be my first Thanksgiving in Eveleth, and it should be fun. I will miss my Grandma's scalloped corn, but I am sure there will be awesome stuff up at Grandma Babich's, and hopefully there will be leftovers for me here!

Hunting Widow....

It has been almost a week since I have written.... mostly because I feel like I don't have a lot of new stuff to say! I have been not as sick, probably 3 mornings a week now. Still have been crampy.... unsure if that is due to stretching uterus or the awesome gas this baby gives me :) I will be 10 weeks tomorrow. 3 weeks until my next doctor appt, and then we should here the heartbeat, since I will be 13 weeks. I broke down and bought another bella band, a pair of comfy black pants, and maternity jeans yesterday. No, I don't have a cute belly yet, but definitly getting thincker, as none of my jeans fit well, and are so uncomfotable!!

Dan is hunting this weekend.... I have been trying to keep myself busy. The dogs have gotten me up early the last 2 mornings.... I am hoping I will be able to take a nap today. I have a lot of grad school homework I need to figure out today as well.... but my prof is very unorganized, and it is an online class, so it has been hard to figure out what I am supposed to be doing.

Other than that... I should clean, but have no motivation to, and since Dan isn't home to help, I think I will wait! I will post tomorrow about what the baby is doing at week 10.

9 Weeks, First Doctor Appointment

Well, we had our first appt today. We didn't get to hear the heartbeat :( Still a little early for her to pick it up on the doppler. I will go in on Dec. 3 for my next one, and we should be able to hear it then. It was a little disappointing, but I am trying to not get to down. Doctor said everything else seemed ok. All my blood tests came back OK. I am trying to decide if I should officially spill the beans, like on facebook.... or wait a little bit. I will post a new belly pic later tonight or tomorrow.... just wanted to let you all know how it went today.

8 weeks, first appt tomorrow!

It has been a week, but not much in the pregnancy world has changed. No belly, still sick, just one week closer to hearing the little one's heart beat:)

What is up with Baby Babich?:

New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and
feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his
throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about
gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another,
forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

We go into the doctor for the first time tomorrow!! It seems like so long ago since we scheduled the appt. They will do blood work and take a urine sample, and then we get to fill out a lot of paperwork on family history, and have an information/ question session which will be nice. I am so greatful Dan is going with me. It will be nice to not have to repeat everything to him, in case I miss something. I will probably begin a notebook/ journal though so I have a place where I write down everything and wont lose it! One week from today we will hear the heartbeat for the first time!

Dan called me a little bit ago... we get to go skating at the xcel tomorrow, and I am really excited to!

Other big news.... another one of my best friends had a baby on Sunday morning!!! Amy welcomed Brooke Elaine Johnson into the world! I plan on meeting her tomorrow, and can't wait! It is her first. It is so fun because Amy and I have been friends since elementary school! We had sleep overs and played at eachothers houses all the time, so it is so fun to see her become a mom, and I KNOW she will be amazing at it, and help me out when it come to be my time!! :)

7 weeks along, 2 weeks from heartbeat!

Whether boy or girl.... we know they will be a Wild fan. This is the first outfit we bought!

Baby Babich is the size of a blueberry!

The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last
week.

So exciting. So sick. The nausea is never ending! I had to spill the beans to just the core teachers (8th grade) that I work with because I needed to move the womens bathroom close to me.... it is now right outside my door. I couldn't run across the halls to the bathroom! We had to switch it last year for another co-worker and her pregnancy.

2 weeks from today, is the first doc appt. It still seems so far away. I just can't wait for it. Dan is sitting here asking the dogs if they are going to go after diapers... haha. They probably will. I bought my first outfit for the baby. Since we don't know what it is going to be yet, I felt like I can't buy anything.... however.... whether it is a boy or girl, they will be a wild fan! SO, I picked up the cutest outfit. I will post a pic on here.
