So, I know I have been talking about how I can't wait to see Brynn smile... well... I get to see it daily now! It is so fun to wake up and see that smile and hear the coos that come along with it. It is the highlight of my day!
Brynn has slept through the night since Sunday! Giving me 6 hours of sleep! She has been waking up about 5 am to eat after going to sleep around 10:30, and then falling back asleep until 8:30 or so!
She has been much more alert during the day, so I haven't had as much free time, but that is ok... because I love it. Dan left me alone with Brynn for the first time this weekend, and I survived. My sister came over on Friday and we had dinner. I made spinach manicotti and it was delicious. Saturday I went out to lunch with my girlfriends, then to my parents house. It was a nice afternoon ended with me just hanging at home watching movies. However, I got a phone call at about 11:30 pm, that my Grandpa passed away. He had been in the hospital and not doing so well. He was 92, so had a very long life. I feel really bad for my Grandma though... she is doing well considering the circumstances. His funeral is tomorrow. He was in the millitary so he will be buried at Ft. Snelling and being honored.
Not a very entertaining post tonight. I will leave it with some pictures :)

First Walk... Can't Wait for Spring!!
February 17, and I was able to take Brynn out on a walk in the stroller today! Who would have thought?? It showed me, once again, how out of shape I am in. I am a little nervous about that. It is going to be hard at first once I can start working out again. Literally hard. It is going to be painful... and I HAVE to work through that. I am determined.
I also opened Brynn's savings account today, and she has a good start (in terms of money)! I met my friend Petrie.. she works at US Bank, and she had someone help me get it set up, and then we went to Chipotle for lunch. It was so nice!
Let's see... Monday Dan and I did make it to Bennetts for dinner for Valentine's Day. Brynn was so good! She just sat peacefully all through dinnner. We really are lucky, she is such a good baby! Tuesday and Wednesday I tried to catch up with some sleep. When Brynn went back to sleep at like 7am, I did too... we stayed in bed until 11 or so, and I think it helped. Then, Brynn has slept through the night the last two nights! She has been awake the last 2 days a lot, and I think that helps.
I really think I got my first real smile out of her this morning... she wasn't sleeping, she wasn't gassy, she just was happy and looking at me and smiling! :) Now should this happen consistently if it was a true smile? How do I know for sure? I guess we will see if it continues.
I am having a hard time dressing Brynn right now. She fits best into 0-3 month clothes, but I swear, there is none! And the few things I have in that size 1- are pajamas 2- I find in the store, and it is all spring clothes! So, she has been in sleepers and newborn clothes that are a little small.
Let's see, this weekend is going to be busy. I can't wait to just have a weekend where Dan and I can relax! We have a weekend to Duluth planned for our Anniversary--and we will bring Brynn to Duluth for the first time, and I can't wait!! When we went up last year, I would have never thought that this year for our anniversary, I would have a 2 month old daughter. It truly is amazing how life can change in just a year!
Anyway, on Saturday we have my cousin's daughter's 2nd birthday party, and I am going to a friend's from work that night for a get-together. Sunday, we are hoping to make it to Grandma Babich's. She is watching Dan's Grandparent's dog, Sassy, while they are in Uruguay visiting Uncle David... (he is the US Ambassador of Uruguay, and Dan and I are hoping to make a trip there this summer as well.) Again... sidetracked... Sassy is a very energetic dog, so we may bring Kolby and Maia to play with her, and of course they want to see Brynnie!
Brynn will be 6 weeks on Tuesday-- holy cow-- but I am SO THANKFUL that Dan and I are in the position to let me stay home until September. I can't imagine going back to work next week!! Speaking of, I need to find a daycare for her... so if anyone has any recommendations for home daycares in South St. Paul or Inver Grove, feel free to message me via facebook or email (kathleen.babich@gmail.com) This is stressing me out... so if anyone can help, I would appreciate it!
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

So in Love...
First of all... here is the picture I talked about in my last blog entry :) This week was Dan's 27th birthday. On February 8th. I made him tacos... which is the one thing I think I have really perfected, and even baked him a cake! It is a lot easier doing that stuff when I get out to the store and stuff during the day and have time to bake since I am not at work. I think he had a pretty good birthday. Friday night Dan and I went out to the MOA... with Brynn of course. We went out to dinner and she was really good! It was also the 11th, so Brynn was officially one month! It was nice to get dressed and go out somewhere as a family! Last night (Saturday) was my first night away from Brynn. My mom was so excited, and I was very nervous. I wasn't nervous about whether my mom could handle her, because obviously she can... I was more nervous about myself, and not wanting to be away from her. It turned out jsut fine though. Dan and I went to the Wild game, and actually were fortunate enough to enjoy it from the Anheuser Busch suite, thanks to the Tuuri's! It was also a fabulous game. We played really well, we won, and there were a few fights! It was nice to get to a game, since I hadn't been since probably the end of November due to my bedrest. Dan and I had a good time. Today, Dan and I went to mass again at St. Thomas Beckett in Eagan. I think we finally found a church we both enjoy going to... especially Dan. We are going to officially becomes members there I think, and I have to call and see what we need to do for Brynn's baptism. I am thinking it may end up being in April... since February is already half over! We will see.. As far as milestones for Brynn, she is holding her head up very well, and I feel is growing so much!! I am still waiting on that smile when she actually smiles at me. I can't wait! Dan and I will be going to Bennett's tomorrow night for Valentines Day... and Brynn will be along as well. It is also my parents 30th wedding anniversary, how awesome is that?!?! I love them to pieces, and am so lucky to have them as parents. They are awesome. Here is a video of Brynn cooing in her sleep :)

She is Perfect!
The title of today's blog entry was what our peditrician said about Brynn at her one month check up today! She is measuring in the 50th percentile for everything. She is 21 in... (they must have messed up on her measurements when she was born, because she can't shrink...), 9 lbs, and her head is 14.4 inches! Her heart and everything sounded good. It is so reassuring to hear the Dr. say that she looks good... because of course all I hope for her is to be healthy.
She has continued to be gassy... which I feel so bad about and can interupt her feedings. I feel so bad when she is like that! I am still waiting for her first smile, and the Dr. said that should come in the next couple of weeks.
We made our first trip to Grandma Babich's this weekend. Brynn was a good little girl :) Brynn also attended her first Super Bowl party at my parents house. She is going to be my lucky charm! My parents and all their friends did the betting thing with the score of the game... you write names in squares and once they are all filled in, the numbers are revealed and if at the end of the quarter, the teams scores end in that number, you won $25. Well, one of my parents friends bought two squares for Brynn, and sure enough, end of the 1st quarter... she won! Her numbers were 4 and 0. I have a picture of her holding the money with Pam (she is the one who bought her the square), but the camera is in the car and I need to upload the pic still... so I will add that later.
I can't believe my little peanut is almost one month old! I keep saying I wish my month of bedrest went as fast as this last month. I am so looking forward to seeing her smile at me for the first time. I will leave you with this picture... Brynn in her first pair of jeans!

3 weeks :)
Another week has come and gone... they go so fast! Brynn keeps me busy! She is now 3 weeks old. She has become a good little eater, for the most part. I feel so bad when she basically spits up her entire meal :( She has done that a couple of times... and I think it is when she cries a lot before she eats. She slept from 11:00- 4:30 this morning last night... I would love if she did that again tonight, I need it! I have a feeling she wont though because she has been sleeping a lot today. She is awake now though taking everything in!
I went into work today to have lunch with the Core... it was so good to see everyone, and of course I saw a lot of the kids. I was hoping to meet my long term sub, since I haven't yet, but she was out. Bummer. It was so good to see everyone, it does make me miss work... but of course so thankful I am home with Brynn for as long as I am able to.
Pictures went well on Sunday. I can't wait to see them. We should get the link to them by Friday! Let's see... not much really new in the last week. I will post a couple of pictures of Brynn, since I have tons of them because I can't help but take them all the time!
