Telling My Parents...

Today, we invited my parents and sister over for chili. Dan makes the best chili ever!! I just could not wait to tell them! I know it is early, but I figure if I was to have a MC, I would need the support of my mom and dad, so we wanted to tell them. I couldn't wait very long when they got here, and I don't really remember how I said it.... but they were both very excited! We got them each a book, a Grandma and a Grandpa book! I think my dad was more surprised than my mom... and I know they are going to have a hard time keeping it a secret for a little while. i told them at least for another month, so 8 weeks.

Next on the list is Dan's mom and dad. We are hoping his dad can come over tomorrow, but we haven't heard from him yet. His mom is in Iowa, so hopefully by the end of this week. We have not decided when to tell our grandparents.... I know when I tell my Grandma Dot, she will want to tell everyone!

I am going to call the Dr. tomorrow, and hope to get in for my blood test, and see what the next step is.... this is all so exciting, and I am praying for a healthy 9 months and for our little one to stick!!

Well, it's official!

By time most of you are reading this, I am probably 8 weeks or more pregnant. Today is September 26, 2009. I took a test this morning, and to my surprise, it read "Pregnant!" Some of you know, some may not, but Dan and I had decided to start trying to have a baby since May of this year. I had been getting discouraged, but was hoping for the best. Well, today I got it. I have not told anyone yet, but will probably tell our families very soon! Dan and I could not be happier, or more excited!

I will be blogging throughout my pregnancy, and I got the idea from my friend Randi, who I played soccer with down at Mankato... So thanks Ran for the idea!
